Acting and Improvisation
- Acting I: Fundamental techniques and
terminology of acting through physical and vocal expression, improvisation and
monologue and scene work.
All
group classes are $225 plus $25 registration fee for a 15 week session.
Ages 8 – 11 - Ages 8-11: emphasis will be on movement and the use of
theatre games to bring out the comfort levels in young actors.
Saturdays 10 am – 10:45 am
Ages 12 – 14 - Ages 12-14: emphasis on movement and expression, the use of
scene work and monologues will apply.
Ages 15 – 18 - Ages 15-18: emphasis on scene study and monologues with
audition techniques and practical studies(character creating). Will also
include techniques for auditioning for film verse theatre.
Adults - Ages adult: emphasis on practical studies, real world
experience and enhanced scene and monologue work (character creating). Will
also include techniques for auditioning for film verse theatre.

Interpretation: Workshop in the study and performance of Musical Theatre/ Opera
repertoire including audition techniques, talent evaluation, rehearsal
techniques, vocal acting styles, stage movement and performance. Provides the
continuing acting student with opportunities to expand the versatility of
characterization skills. These will be individual and group training classes.

Training: Private sessions will be offered for those who wish to prepare for
upcoming auditions or work on creating a character they are working on at
present. This will include monologue preparations and scene study.
